While each client has different needs and the design experience will be tailored to you, there's a general process that I follow to make sure that things run as smoothly as possible. That way, we’ll both be sure to enjoy it! Here’s what it will look like when we work together:
HOW IT WORKS
CONSULT
Let’s get to know each other to make sure we're a good fit! After you answer some questions about your project, we’ll schedule a phone call / online meeting / coffee date to get comfortable with each other. We’ll talk about your business and goals, get a feel for what your design needs are, and generally figure out if we will make a strong team. I might give you some homework and ask you to show me some examples of what designs you’re drawn to so we’re on the same page.
PARTNER
If we hit it off, I’ll put together a quote outlining what we discussed in our consultation along with pricing. You’ll look over it and tell me if anything needs to be adjusted. If you're happy with the quote, you’ll sign an agreement and pay a deposit. Once we have these things in place, I’ll take it from there.
CREATE
My next step is to research and brainstorm ideas for your project. There is a lot of researching, sketching, coffee drinking, and general obsessing over your design on my part. After letting these ideas marinate in my brain for a bit, I'll take to the computer to work on bringing your concepts to life and get the strongest concepts ready to present to you. Then I'll send them to you for review.
REVISE AND REFINE
Here’s where our partnership really takes shape. I want your feedback on what I’ve come up with so far. We’ll collaborate and narrow down the design. I'll put together one final set of proofs for you to carefully review and approve before wrapping everything up.
DELIVER
Finally, I will create your final deliverables. Once you’ve signed off on the design, I’ll get everything ready to hand off to you. That may mean creating logo files and guidelines, setting up print-ready files, or launching your website + packaging up your design files.
